We saw Kilmanjaro today!

Time is so limited in the Internet Cafe - haven't had much opportunity to write!
We are all having a remarkable time - it's so hard to put into words and pictures don't even capture it! Every day has been quite the memorable adventure though. We visited a remote Maasai parish on Sunday, actually a parish with four preaching points all under construction and no money to finish. We were warmly welcomed though and witnessed an amazing worship service at one of the churches and then took a very memorable and slightly hairy trip to see the other 3 churches. Saw lots of the grass huts etc. and people with nothing much but warm hearts faces filled with joy and they were so friendly and giving. Today we visited some high schools and colleges - went into the jungle hills east of Kilmanjaro. Absolutely beautiful and lush vegetation everywhere. Hadn't seen the mountain \Kilmanjaro until this afternoon returning home when the clouds cleared after a heavy rain. Tomorrow we'll head out for Safari so may not have an opportunity to get to a computer until sometime Saturday but we're looking forward to that adventure. Discovered today that I did not bring the right equipment for my camera but fortunately the other Sheridan folks are much better photographers than I am anyway! Love to family and friends!

Kathy and all,

You are in our prayers and you are missed here! We are well, surviving the cold. Our hearts are warmed by your words and the faith that our Lord is with you as you meet such incredible people.

I hope your thoughts are in the place where you are at, and that you are free from worry about this place. We're all doing well, eagerly anticipating hearing how the Lord has worked in your heart through your adventures.

We continue to surround you in prayer.

Peace,
Pastor Greg

It sounds amazing as does the entire trip! You are in my prayers and I am slightly envious of the warm weather. Sigh.

Have a wonderful and safe journey.

Kathy - Mom tried to post a comment, but something didn't work right. Do know that you are in our thoughts and our prayers!

I am going to pass this blog address on to Albert and Joyce so they can keep up with you too. I know that Albert loved his time in Tanzania and is hoping to go back in a couple of years.
